The pop starlet focuses more on family rather than the limelight she takes a break off her much-hyped Vegas shows.
Grammy-winning singer and TV talk show host Kelly Clarkson has informed fans that her upcoming residency performances in Las Vegas will be canceled due to a family emergency. The move is as a result of her former husband, Brandon Blackstock, being in a severe condition, and Clarkson feels it is essential to make her transformation moment into the children in this period of need.
Clarkson said in an emotional post shared on her social media accounts, “My kids need me at this moment, and I want to be there for them. I decided to take a hard but needed break to my residencies in order to help and be with them through this process as a family.”
The news has been received by a flood of fan and peer support with many applauding Clarkson devoting her life to the family rather than popularity. Blackstock and the singer have two children together, River Rose, 11, and Remington Alexander, 9, who both, according to Clarkson, are her “biggest priority.”
The residency, which was originally scheduled to run until the end of August at the Bakkt Theater in Planet Hollywood, is titled Chemistry, it was announced on Sept. “An Intimate Night with Kelly Clarkson,” was one of the biggest events that formed part of the Vegas entertainment calendar. The organizers of the shows have promised to refund ticket holders money or allow those with tickets to wait until the residency restarts to rebook the new dates, when this resumes.
It is not the first time Clarkson demonstrated her capacities to polish personal life and professional requirements. More recently she has been open about how hard her highly publicized divorce was on her emotionally, as well as the sometimes difficult process of co-parenting, and frequently uses her platform to relate to fans who may be undergoing the same issues.
